"According to journalists close to the Vatican, the Pope and his closest advisers are also concerned that the ultimate acts of evil - the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon - were known in advance by senior Bush administration officials. By permitting the attacks to take their course, there is a perception within the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy that a coup d'etat was implemented, one that gave Bush and his leadership near-dictatorial powers to carry out their agenda."

Yet another voice chimes in. Well, not that I really need the Pope to tell me gwbush is a dangerous jerk, but there you have it.

I can't quite bring myself to believe that gwbush and co knew in advance. At the time, I did wonder if they were trying to scare us into submission and their plans got away from them. Like a frat house gang rape that turns into murder.

On the other hand, if enough people not wearing dresses at the Vatican (or pink tutus in D.C.) start to wonder, really wonder, about this, we might get a real investigation, an impeachment and maybe even some honest-to-God justice for September 11, 2001.
