Byrd to speak of a "desk-bound president who assumes the garb of a warrior," using an aircraft carrier as "an advertising backdrop for a presidential political slogan," contrasting the Bush speech with "the simple dignity" of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Bush's reply: the joy stick looked really cool." Leave it to Joe Bob Briggs to say what we were all thinking. I hereby nominate Ann Richards and Joe Bob as running mates for the next Presidential election. Posted by Laurel Sutton
