Other unions are supporting it, and the result is that most public universities in Nigeria have been closed since January. The government keeps saying "XYZ university has reopened!", but in a few days, the news seeps out that there's no one on campus, no one in the buildings, no activity at all. I work with international students and immigrants, and it seems like every day I hear from some desperate man or woman. Their visas are running out, they need to get admitted, can't I help them? Not without a transcript, I can't. Academic fraud is a big problem in the world right now. I want transcripts from the source. There is nothing I can do. Not nearly as bad as some of the things happening in the world, but bad enough. http://allafrica.com/stories/200305230571.html Posted by Lynn Loper
