Yet another reason why I won't miss "The Economist" when the sub lapses:

"George Bush's reputation as a man of integrity easily outweighs doubts about his administration's judgment."

I can't believe the writer wasn't struck by lightening when he wrote that. He just says it like it's true.

George w. bush was AWOL from the Nat'l Guard, a cocaine user, a drunk driver, a bad parent if his daughters are any measure of parental success, a failure in business, a rotten governor, and the loser of the 2000 presidential election, so he had his family and their henchmen steal it. He led us into an unnecessary and cynical war and, leaving aside that it probably is their fault (but bush went on TV and told all those lies on the State of the Union address), will dodge the blame by letting Rice, Powell, Wolfowitz, Perle and/or Rumsfeld take the fall. Exactly what "reputation as a man of integrity" is "The Economist" talking about?
