David Niewert's excellent essay, "Rush, Newspeak and Fascism", is on his site in pdf format for download. Please get one and please donate $5 or more on his donation button. When you think of what he's put into this essay and what you know when you're done reading it, $5 is a helluva bargain.

And, having read my copy, I also think that we will re-read this essay in a few years and realize, happily, that we had a narrow escape or, sadly, wish we'd seen it coming and done something before it was too late.

I can't predict the future but I do know that forewarned is forearmed and it's not too late (yet).
