01/21/2004 Entry: "Sisters with Platinum VISA cards"

"Women actually buy more technology than men do nowadays. According to the Consumer Electronics Association, women accounted for $55 billion of the $96 billion spent on electronics gear in 2003.

"But electronics stores have been slow to catch on. Nearly three-quarters of women surveyed by the industry group complained about being ignored, patronized or offended by salespeople when shopping for electronics."
Women are now buying most consumer electronics, Seattle Post-Intelligencer Staff and News Services, January 15, 2004

Women buying stuff with their own damn money. We're more than half the population of our age group and are making real money. I knew being over forty was going to pay off big one day. Now if reality would just fall in line, everything would be jake.
