That, and thirty-five cent latté, would do us a world of good. I know, I'm way behind on blogging this one, sorry.
Replies: 1 Comment I found it interesting, as I was watching some cable channel dissing the Janet Jackson 'boob flash' that, as they broke away for commercials, what should come on but a sexy Victorian Secret ad. This country is SO obsessed when it comes to sex. On one hand, you have the highly Puritanical people who think that we should return to the 50s and only depict married couples on TV as sleeping in separate beds. Oh, and of course young adults shouldn't learn about sex until their wedding night (give 'em separate beds, in fact). Children shouldn't learn about the biology of sex in school. (Yeah...leave it up to the parents, who will NEVER actually get around to tellin' them anything.) And then, on the other hand you have those who use sex to sell everything from automobiles to what have you. Why isn't there an outcry from these same Puritanical types regarding the tons of ads on TV these days for 'erectile disfunction'? Janet Jackson's boob flash was a stupid stunt. She should have known better, only because it gives more and more ammunition to those who want to censor EVERYTHING in our society. As if Michael wasn't generating enough unwanted publicity these days...! Regards! Posted by Marcee @ 02/11/2004 10:28 AM PST
