10/30/2004 Entry: ""TEX!," Reagan delusions and comic books"

"Except Reagan prevailed. His policies brought peace, freedom and prosperity to millions at home and abroad. Defying the expectations and predictions of the liberal intelligentsia, this simple-minded superhero changed the world for the better. Perhaps history will judge President Bush the same way."
From Reagan's Raiders to Tex!, Joshua Elder, October 28, 2004

As the original neocon stooge, Reagan left a mess in the U.S. and in Central America when he left office. Anyone who thinks differently is either too young to remember properly or is cherry-picking their reality.

God, I hate dealing with this sort of thing. It makes me feel better to respond, but it doesn't do a damn bit of good otherwise.

Well, here's the big list of debunked Reagan myths, so that saves me a little time.

And I don't have to wait for history to judge gwbush; the present if doing a great job of it. Destabilizing the Middle East for nothing and letting 370 tons of explosives that will be used all over the world be looted are just starters. Like Reagan, bush is leaving office on a deficit, but Reagan's was only a 144 Billion USD deficit, which seemed outrageous at the time, but compared to the possible 413 Billion USD 2004 deficit it still seems outrageous (because it is)

Oh, and The Bush Junta, from Fantagraphics, gets it as right as TEX! about the bush family etc.
