02/27/2005 Entry: "WBW, day 7"

A twofer!

Well, WBW just flew by, but that's what happens when you're having fun. To conclude, I'd like to mention that women who blog often do other things and it's not all about politics even though it seems that way. So, for half of my last WBM post, I'd like to recommend the Fatcat Press blog, and salute all the women bloggers, and women everywhere, who have raised multi-tasking, online culture, and thought provoking blog posts to an art form.

And now a blast from the past, well, a blast from last Tuesday:

Ode To A Dull Drum Beat, by Madeleine Begun Kane

And this, ladies and gentlemen bloggers, children of all ages, concludes this Women in Blogging Week here at the Hackenblog. Until next time, and you know there will be a next time unfortunately.

What can I tell ya? Until certain male bloggers make a sincere effort to seek out and read political women bloggers, this stupid subject is going to come up again and again. And every time, I suppose, we'll just have to point the clueless incomplete chromosome to the right-hand sidebar of What She Said. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Sisters, has it ever not been like this?

Thank you to everyone who wrote in support, linked back, and everyone who reads and links to women bloggers on a regular basis. All solid progress is made slowly. Like the Himalayas.

I remain yours in blogging.

PS and NOTE: I hate to link to it, but here's post-mortem on the post that started all this and he still don't get it. However, read the comments, please: the women and some of the men responding are simply awesome. And some of it's hysterically funny, like the guy with his "man-blog" and "...this same thing happened to X of X a while back. (this same thing being got his head torn clean off by the blogging womenfolk, that is)." Hah! Except I don't think old Kev has even noticed his head got torn clean off by the blogging womenfolk. I mean, it's not like he's using it; why would he miss it?
