"Powell Books here in Portland may be the best one-stop browsing bookstore in the world, but they’re all we have here, and they don’t have everything. One of my main areas of interest, the Mongol Empire, is a pretty slow-moving area of study, so books published 130 years ago can still be usable resources. (E.G. Raverty’s translation of Juzjani and D’Ohsson’s history)."
