07/04/2005 Entry: "Steamboy"

Saw "Steamboy" at Amime Expo last night.

Jesus, another anti-war anime (see "Howl's Moving Castle" entry). Has the world gone mad? Oh wait... it kind of has, courtesy of bushco, the bastards.

I've never felt sorry for a chihuahua before.

Enjoyed it. Wanted to kill the little girl in it very much, but, hey, it's just an anime. Great voices. Some blood and violence; older kids and geeky teens might like it.

Set in London during the Great Exposition of 1866 when the US was tearing itself apart... um... hm.
