As seen at the Yellow Dog Blog. Too bad, except for Senator (President) Boxer, we don't have Dems in office like this. Sigh. But, I suppose if you make the graphics, it will happen eventually.
Oh, and I've decided it will take an Act of God, like a Visit from God, for me to vote for anyone in 08 who doesn't promise to bring ALL the troops home on January 21, 2009 (if they're not ALL home by then [which seems unlikely]). I love Wes Clark, but a Yellow Dog Dem, he ain't. He's more of a silver fox-type. Mmmmm.

"22. We found a massive Red Cross presence in Baton Rouge but none in some of the smaller Louisiana towns that have mounted the most impressive relief efforts. The poor Cajun community of Ville Platte, for instance, has at one time or another fed and housed more than 5,000 evacuees; but the Red Cross, along with FEMA, has refused almost daily appeals by local volunteers to send professional personnel and aid. Why then give money to the Red Cross?"
25 Questions About the Murder of New Orleans, by Mike Davis and Anthony Fontenat, The Nation, Setember 30, 2005
Why indeed? Read the rest; there was more going on and going wrong in NO than I'd realized. Hurrah for Mike Davis! He lives in San Diego now? Huh. Hurrah for Anthony Fontenat, too.

"A friend of Bacharach said: 'Burt's pissed at the administration, concerned about the world he is leaving to his children, and you can feel it.'"
Bacharach teams up with Dre for protest album, Ananova.com, um... I saw it on Cursor.org on October 4, 2005 (Ananova doesn't bother with dates)
It's official, we've gone... somewhere. I would by this CD.
EDIT: Reuters has more information dated October 1.
